Christmas Dinner 2011 will take place on Thursday December 1st at Chobham Golf Club. Forms will be available at the October and November meetings.

Lynwood venue for May meeting. Please note that the meeting on Thursday 5th May will be held at Lynwood, Rise Road, Sunninghill, SL5 0AW. It is just opposite the end of Larch Avenue. There will be notices posted by the gates. The evening begins at 6.50 pm with a Car Boot Plant Sale in the Car Park. The talk will be held in the Garden Room where the meeting begins at 7.30 pm.

Sunningdale wins back Quiz cup. Sunningdale narrowly beat Ascot Horticultural Society in the annual quiz for the Alistair Fosdick trophy early this month. Full details along with pictures can be found on our new Report Events page.

RHS Dig Together Day Event & Sept monthly meeting. As an Association affiliated to the RHS we are joining in their Dig Together Day events on 4th & 5th September. Chris Parnell will be on her allotment (No.25 - follow the signs on the day) on Sunday 5th Sept (10:00 to noon) to show people what can be grown on a small plot. The allotments are right next to the Village Hall. SADGA will also hold an open evening for the monthly meeting on Thurs 2nd Sept - FREE to visitors. See the programme for more details and don't forget that the evening starts at 6.50 pm with a Car Boot Plant Sale.

Coleus competition date changed. Due to difficult growing conditions it has been decided to move the date of the coleus competition back from July to September.

Open Gardens. Here is a copy of side 1 and side 2 of the British Red Cross's leaflet which covers Berkshire, Bucks, and Oxfordshire. Alternatively, you can find information on gardens near London from their website or access the National Gardens Scheme's website to view selected parts of the country.

Change of May Venue. Due to the General Election the May meeting will be held at Lynwood, Rise Road, Sunninghill, SL5 0AJ. Do not forget that the plant sale will be held in the Lynwood car park, starting at 6:50pm

Replacement April speaker. Paul Patton, the April speaker, is unable to honour his commitment. He will be replaced by John Paulding who will give a talk on African Violets, Gloxinias and Streptocarpus.
